The Google Calendar integration is a one-way sync from Classcard to Google Calendar. Any class or event you add or edit on the Classcard calendar will automatically reflect in the connected staff member's Google Calendar.
💡 This is a one-way sync. Changes made directly in Google Calendar will not reflect back on Classcard. Always manage your schedule from within Classcard.
How to Enable the Integration
The integration is enabled per staff member from their individual profile. Follow these steps:
From the left sidebar, navigate to the People main menu and head to Staff.
Open the relevant staff member's profile.
On the left-hand side of the profile, make sure the Takes classes toggle is turned on. This is a prerequisite — the Calendar sync section will only appear if this toggle is enabled.
Scroll down to the Calendar sync section. You will see a Google Calendar option with a Connect button next to it.
Click Connect. An authorisation screen will open. Follow the prompts to log in to the staff member's Google account and grant Classcard permission to sync.
Once authorised, any classes or events added or updated on the Classcard calendar for that staff member will automatically appear in their Google Calendar.

Will edits made on Google Calendar sync back to Classcard?
No. This is a one-way sync only. Any changes made on Google Calendar will not be reflected on Classcard. Always update your schedule from within Classcard.
Does each staff member need to authorise separately?
Yes. The sync is enabled per staff member. Each staff member must have the Takes classes toggle on, and then individually connect their own Google account from their profile.
Do I need to request access to this integration?

Why can't I see the Calendar sync section on a staff profile?
The Takes classes toggle must be turned on for that staff member. The Calendar sync section only appears once it is enabled.
