Offering discounts is an effective method to boost sales, and with Classcard, you can apply coupons either as a percentage discount (%) or a fixed amount ($100).
To add a coupon, follow these simple steps:
Navigate to the Billing main menu and head to the Coupons tab.
Click on Add coupon on the top right corner of the screen.
In the sidebar, enter a unique Coupon code. This is the code that customers will input to avail the discount. For example, EARLY50.
In the Type section, you can either choose Percentage discount and enter the percentage off, for example, 5%, or, select Fixed amount discount, and enter the desired amount, for example, $50.
In the Limits section, there are 3 options:
Add an expiry date: You can check this box if you wish to limit the validity of the coupon by a particular date (for example, valid until December 31st, 2025). Select the End date until which the coupon can be used from the Calendar drop-down.
Valid if booking for two or more students: After checking this box, you can select whether the coupon can be used by any students in the cart or only by additional students.
Require minimum order value (per students): You can check this box if you wish the coupon to be eligible only on a minimum order value (for example, valid on a purchase of minimum of $100). Enter the value (excluding tax) in the box.
In the Visibility at checkout section, you can choose whether you wish to keep the coupon Hidden (not shown during checkout, only redeemable on entering the code) or Listed in available coupons (shown to customers during checkout).
Under Redemption, select the box if you wish to limit the total number of times the coupon can be redeemed. You can add a limit on:
Total redemptions (the maximum times the coupon can be used across all customers. For example, can be used by only 100 customers), or,
Maximum redemptions per customer (the maximum number of times a single customer can redeem the coupon)
Finally, you can select whether the coupon is Applicable to:
All items
Specific items: Click on +Add item. Search for and select the items the coupon can be applied to.
After adding all the details, click Save. The status for the coupon will show as Live on the All Coupons page.
