How to Use Blocked Time

Learn how staff can reserve one-time or recurring unavailable blocks for breaks or non-working hours to avoid scheduling conflicts.

Staff members can use blocked time to reserve specific time slots in their calendars for non-working hours, breaks, or any other personal commitments when they arenโ€™t available to take classes.

  1. Navigate to the Calendar menu on the left side of the screen.

  2. Click anywhere on the calendar, or click on the Add new button on the right side of the screen and select Blocked time.

๐Ÿ’ก Note: Blocked time refers to staff members blocking time off from their respective calendars, whereas holidays (block out days) refer to blocking holidays from the whole of the calendar to avoid scheduling classes for that particular duration.

  1. In the add event page, add the Title for your blocked time. It could be your non-working hours, break(s), or anything else.

  2. Choose the Date and time, select a specific date by clicking on the Calendar icon, and pick specific timings from the drop-down menu.

  3. Select a Timezone from the drop-down menu.
    Click on the Create event button and the event will be set successfully.

Repeat blocked time

Toggle the Repeats button to repeat the blocked time at set intervals.

  1. Pick a value in the Every section if you want to repeat the blocked time Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly.

  2. Select a particular date in the Till section to repeat the blocked time for a duration of your choice by clicking on the Calendar icon.
    Click on the Create event button and the event will be set successfully.
